FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I expect from my treatment?
I take a holistic approach to massage and tailor each treatment to my client’s needs. Therefore an important aspect is to first find out a bit about you, and what you require. A full consultation will be taken on your first visit which typically lasts around 10 - 15 minutes. I will take some time to ask you about your health and what you wish to gain from your treatment.
It may not be possible to cover all your requirements in one session and where this is the case we will work together to look at what you most need out of the session and look at a treatment plan for subsequent sessions should you wish to re-book with me.
Please allow slightly longer for a first session to take into account this consultation process. Rest assured that all your information will be kept in the strictest confidence. (You can read my Privacy Notice here)
I will then advise you on what items of clothing to remove and provide you with towels and instructions for getting onto the couch. I will then leave the room for you to prepare yourself.
How long will a session last?
That is entirely up to you. I offer 30 minute, 1 hour or 90 minute sessions. Though am happy to work to your requirements should you require a different amount of time.
What sort of massage do you offer?
I offer couch and seated massage. Some of the styles of massage that I include in my treatments include Swedish, deep tissue and trigger point therapy. All treatments are tailored specifically to your needs.
Seated massage is particularly well suited as an intervention at events and within the workplace. I take the same holistic approach with seated massage focusing in on any areas that require attention.
Do you offer any promotions?
I offer promotions from time to time which I publish on my website and Facebook. I also offer a loyalty scheme where you receive 20% off of your 5th treatment with me.
What oils do you use?
I use grapeseed oil due to its light and hypoallergenic properties. I also use massage wax for some treatments which contains almond nut oil. If you have any allergies or sensitivities then I am happy to discuss and tailor accordingly.
What if I do not wish to remove my clothes?
That is no problem at all. I can offer massage through clothes (without oil) which can be just as effective as an oil based massage. I would use more stretching, mobilisation (movement of the joints), rocking and oscillation. I also offer seated massage which can be beneficial for those with mobility issues
